Encountering the Poetic Jiangnan at Xitang VOCO

A great hotel can truly make you fall in love with a place, and the newly opened Xitang Misty Jiangnan VOCO Hotel in 2025 made me adore this Jiangnan town. Having stayed in many hotels, this new VOCO genuinely amazed me!

Located in the heart of Xitang Ancient Town, with its back door leading directly to the town's waterways, the hotel even has its own private boat dock! The lobby is grand, and the courtyard in the traditional siheyuan style is even more stunning—white walls, black tiles, and covered corridors that make you feel like you've stepped into a wealthy family's mansion. The water-themed courtyard of Misty Jiangnan is picturesque from every angle. In my memory, VOCO, as a luxury five-diamond hotel under the InterContinental brand, focuses on chic and trendy styles, but this Xitang VOCO exudes the elegance of a high-end luxury hotel! Staying here feels like living in a Jiangnan ancient town—a great travel hotel is itself a destination!

Rooms start at 35 square meters, and the Deluxe Room I stayed in was 45 square meters, featuring a spacious walk-in closet, a bathtub, and a complimentary minibar generously stocked with 8 soft drinks—definitely worth a thumbs-up! The bright-colored accessories in the room are stylish and youthful, a stark contrast to the antique exterior! It blends Jiangnan charm with a comfortable sleeping environment!

The hotel's breakfast is abundant, offering many local specialties. I was thrilled to find braised pork with preserved mustard greens and freshly made wontons in the breakfast spread! The hotel also provided a complimentary travel photoshoot. I chose a Warring States-style robe, and the results were surprisingly stunning! This hotel is naturally perfect for travel photography—every shot looks amazing. The hotel's Shanlan Travel Photography Studio offers meticulous service, with professional makeup and styling! The photographer was great at capturing emotions, and I absolutely loved the photos! Xitang hosts an annual Hanfu Festival, making it a fantastic spot for Hanfu photography! I plan to return for another weekend stay and shoot another set of Hanfu outfits!

From now on, Xitang VOCO has become the "white moonlight" in my heart, unforgettable and cherished! Whenever people mention Jiangnan ancient towns, it’s not just Wuzhen and Nanxun—the beautiful Xitang Ancient Town shines just as brightly. Its night views are even more enchanting!
