⛪️Introduction to the Attraction

Jiaxing Catholic Church, also known as the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, is located in the center of Jiaxing. It is a Western-style building full of Italian Gothic style. It was built in 1917 and took 13 years to complete. It was once the "largest in China and third largest in the Far East" cathedral. The church covers an area of 34,000 square meters, with a building area of 1,320 square meters. The two bell towers in front of the church are as high as 57m. Its architectural style is unique. The facade is similar to Notre Dame de Paris. The interior is beautifully carved, and the stained-glass windows are gorgeous. It is a popular place for wedding photos, portraits, and product advertisements. The sunny lawn and blue-tiled bell tower are very photogenic.

Admission is free. Opening hours are 8:30–17:00. Note that there are worship activities on Sundays.

You can first go to Yuehe Historical Street to stroll around, buy a bunch of flowers, and then go to the Catholic Church to enjoy the sunset on the church's lawn. You can also see the night view with lights on in the evening. You can also visit the Zicheng Ruins and Shen Zengzhi Former Residence together with the church to experience the historical and cultural atmosphere.
