Exploring Jiji Mountain, the Highest Peak in Jiji Township

Jiji Mountain is located at the junction of Jiji, Zhongliao, and Shuili townships in Nantou County. Geographically, it belongs to the Jiji Ridge of the Xueshan Mountain Range, with an elevation of 1,392 meters, making it one of Taiwan's "Small 100 Peaks."

The towering and majestic Jiji Mountain is the highest peak in Jiji Township and is considered the guardian mountain of this quaint town. The mountain range extends northward to Jiufen Ershan and faces Sun Moon Lake and Shuishe Mountain to the east. The trail is surrounded by lush green bamboo forests, and hikers can enjoy the sounds of chirping birds and insects as they ascend leisurely.

The summit offers a panoramic view, and on clear days, visitors can see Sun Moon Lake, Yushan, the Central Mountain Range, as well as the towns of Jiji and Shuili. A viewing platform at the top makes it an ideal spot for watching sunrises, sunsets, or simply relaxing.
