A stroll around Daming Lake and capturing the illuminated Chaoran Tower

Enter through the southwest gate of Daming Lake (free admission) and start a clockwise walk around the lake. The weekend crowd makes the place lively and bustling. Taking your time to walk and snap photos, a full circle around the lake takes about three hours.

While walking around the lake, you’ll definitely come across Chaoran Tower, a structure originally built during the Yuan Dynasty and reconstructed in 2008. At night, the tower is beautifully illuminated, making it a great spot for photography, though it’s also crowded with visitors.

After leaving the Daming Lake scenic area, head to Qu Shui Ting Street and then to the snack street "Furong Street" to explore and grab some local bites. The air is filled with the aroma of various fried local snacks.
