Kids～ If you want to take your children to experience the "island vibe" up close this weekend, Laoshan Island in Chaohu Lake is definitely the top choice around Hefei! Erhai-style artsy atmosphere + fishing village wild charm, kids will have so much fun they won’t want to leave!

📍Location: Southwest of Zhongmiao Street, Chaohu City, in the heart of the lake

🚗 Transportation Suggestions (Self-driving preferred):

Drive from Hefei and navigate to "Zhongmiao Pier," the scenic Huanchaohu Avenue is beautiful, about 1 hour direct drive, parking fee 9 RMB/time (3 hours is enough for play, tested).

By bus, take H103 or 308 to Zhongmiao Station, then walk to the pier.

🚢 Ways to Get on the Island:

Mechanical Boat: Departs on the hour, round trip 60 RMB, leisurely lake views (recommended for kids).

Speedboat: Departs anytime, round trip 75 RMB, super thrilling! (We paid an extra 10 RMB for a speedboat in summer, totally worth it!)

🎫 Tickets: No island entry fee! Wenfeng Tower climb 10 RMB/person, kids under 1.2m free～

Wenfeng Tower: Climb the 7-story ancient tower with kids, listen to 108 copper bells ringing in the wind, take instant beautiful photos in Hanfu!

Fishing Village Experience: Watch fishing nets being woven, shrimp drying, kids love eating freshly made "Lake Three Delicacies" (silver fish steamed egg is super tender!).

Island Loop Mini Train: Rent an electric scooter to tour the 5 km boardwalk, check in at Wanggu Pavilion and Moon Bay to collect shells (tons at low tide!).

Water Activities: Sailing/kayaking are very safe, stunning at sunset, plus a café in the middle of the lake to rest～

Must order "Chaohu Lake Three Delicacies" at the fishing village restaurant, kids can eat two bowls of rice with silver fish scrambled eggs!
