First Impressions of Jingdong: Wuliang Mountain and Ailao Mountain

Upon arriving in Jingdong, I initially thought it belonged to Dali, but it is actually part of Pu'er City. Between the two mountains runs a river, and Jingdong is situated between Ailao Mountain and Wuliang Mountain.

Wuliang Mountain resembles a giant green dragon winding through the land of Jingdong. With its high mountains, dense forests, and lush vegetation, it is a paradise for flora and fauna. Walking along the mountain trails, breathing in the fresh air, and listening to the birds singing, one feels as if they are in a fairyland. If you are lucky, you might even spot rare wild animals roaming through the forest. On Wuliang Mountain, you can climb to the summit to overlook the spectacular scenery of rolling mountains and a sea of clouds, or venture into the valleys to explore clear streams and waterfalls, experiencing the tranquility and beauty of nature. The famous “Wuliang Sword Lake,” “Wuliang Jade Wall,” and “Wuliang Cave” described by Mr. Jin Yong add a touch of mystery to Wuliang Mountain.

The Ailao Mountain Scenic Area is a poetic landscape where mountains and waters intertwine. With its clear mountains and waters and lush vegetation, attractions such as Rhododendron Lake, Dachaoshan, Jinping, and Xianrenzhai are like pearls embedded in the scenery. By the Rhododendron Lake, the water is clear as a mirror, reflecting the green mountains and trees on the shore, creating a breathtaking view. On Dachaoshan, the mist shrouds the peaks, giving them a mysterious veil.

As night falls, the riverside promenade in Jingdong comes alive. Lights twinkle, tree shadows sway, and people throng the area. Adults stroll and chat or dance joyfully, while children play and laugh, their cheerful voices echoing in the air. Here, you can let go of your fatigue and enjoy the beauty of a slow-paced life. Feel the breeze, admire the night scenery, and experience the warmth and simplicity of the Jingdong people, allowing your soul to find a moment of peace.
