Festival Information

- Time: Usually from April 13 to 15 each year. In 2025, the main events will be held from April 14 to 16.

- Location: Mainly in Jinghong City, such as the Water Splashing Square, Gaozhuang Xishuangjing, the Lancang River, and main streets in the city.

Preparation

- Documents: Bring your ID card and any other necessary documents.

- Clothing: Pack dark-colored short-sleeved shirts, light sun-protective outerwear, shorts, and breathable or non-slip sandals.

- Items: Prepare earplugs, waterproof phone cases, goggles or swimming goggles, water guns or basins in advance.

- Accommodation: Book hotels or homestays half a month in advance. Consider areas like Gaozhuang Xishuangjing, downtown Jinghong, or Wanda Resort District.

Transportation

- External Transportation: Fly to Gasa Airport or take the high-speed train from Kunming to Xishuangbanna (approx. 4 hrs).

- Local Transportation: Electric scooters are convenient for navigating the streets. Buses, taxis, and ride-hailing services are also available.

- Manting Park: Once the Royal Garden of the Dai King, it features a well-preserved ancient ironwood forest, diverse vegetation, an ethnic culture square, and a liana plant area.

- Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (CAS): The largest tropical botanical garden in China, home to a vast collection of tropical plant species.

- Dai Park: Composed of five natural Dai villages, offering insights into Dai customs and traditions, including Dai song and dance performances.

- Zongfo Temple: The center of worship for Buddhist followers in Xishuangbanna, showcasing unique architecture and rich religious and cultural heritage.
