We visited the Chongwen Pagoda in Jingyang County on a bright morning, and its magnificent presence immediately captured our attention. Rising tall beside the Jing River, the thirteen-tiered, octagonal brick tower commanded the landscape with a dignified serenity. As we circled the base, it felt both monumental and approachable the symmetry of its tiers, the textured brickwork, and the delicate lotus motifs subtly inviting closer appreciation. Climbing the winding stairs inside, we gradually ascended through layers of history, each landing offering a different perspective of the tower’s impressive architecture.
What stood out most was the peaceful atmosphere surrounding the pagoda. Few visitors were present, allowing us to take our time and truly absorb the calm air. From the top, the views spread across the river, nearby hills, and distant terrain, making it easy to feel connected with both the structure and the land. The pagoda didn’t feel like a tourist spectacle it felt like a living symbol of cultural pride and quiet endurance. If you’re drawn to immersive architectural experiences that blend tradition with serenity, we would highly recommend a visit to the Chongwen Pagoda it left us inspired and reflective.
