#summervacay I recently dropped by my favorite Me and My Roro Pelangi outlet for lunch, and as always, it was exactly what I needed—a satisfying meal that hits all the right notes without breaking the bank. Their RM19.90 lunch sets offer excellent value, with generous portions and a thoughtfully balanced selection of sides that round out the meal perfectly.
We chose the tori karaage set and the grilled saba set. Each came with three sides, a crisp fresh salad, and a comforting bowl of miso soup. The karaage was a standout—crispy and golden on the outside, tender and juicy within, seasoned just right to keep things flavorful but not overpowering. The grilled saba had that wonderful smoky char, with flaky, melt-in-your-mouth flesh that spoke of careful grilling. The sides were a delightful mix of textures and flavors, from lightly pickled veggies to subtle umami-rich accompaniments, which kept the palate engaged throughout.
The ambience of the outlet matches the quality of the food seamlessly. The dining space embraces a modern, minimalist aesthetic with sleek black tables paired with matching black chairs, creating a sharp yet inviting atmosphere. Soft, warm lighting bathes the room, balancing out the industrial feel and adding a cozy glow that invites you to linger. Tasteful, understated wall art adds character without clutter, and large windows flood the space with natural light during the day, giving the whole area an airy, fresh vibe.
What I appreciate most about this Roro Pelangi outlet is how effortlessly the design and food come together. It’s a place where simplicity meets sophistication—no fuss, just thoughtfully curated food served in a clean, contemporary setting. Whether it’s a quick lunch break or a relaxed catch-up with friends, this spot delivers a reliably delicious experience every time. It’s become one of my go-to places for an affordable yet satisfying meal in a space that feels calm and welcoming.
