During my recent business trip to Singapore, I decided to have a layover at Havona Hotel @ CIQ Johor Bahru for a night. This budget-friendly hotel is conveniently located near CIQ Johor Bahru, JB Sentral, R&F Mall at Princess Cove and the famous spot Jalan Wong Ah Fook, making it a great choice for those crossing the border or planning some light shopping nearby.

The self-check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the staff were very welcoming and genuinely helpful throughout the stay. The room was basic but clean and comfortable, equipped with bottled water and towels, while toothbrush and toothpaste can be collected at the counter.

The only minor drawback is the lack of on-site parking, so guests will need to use nearby public parking. It’s not too far, but worth noting if you’re driving.

Overall, it was a pleasant and convenient short stay — ideal for travelers looking for comfort and easy access to the Singapore border and nearby attractions.
