When you think of summer in Kagoshima, you think of "shirokuma" (white bears). 🍧
The original is known as Tenmonkan Mujaki, a long-established shop located in Tenmonkan Arcade.
I visited on a midsummer afternoon and enjoyed the "shirokuma" (white bear), a fluffy ice cube topped with plenty of fruit and homemade milk.
Its appearance and taste were both impressive! I was surprised by its volume, over 20cm tall, but it melted softly in my mouth, with an exquisite sweetness and refreshing taste. ✨
In addition to the classic shirokuma, they offer a wide variety of flavors, including chocolate shirokuma and matcha shirokuma (green tea shirokuma).
The shop's retro, relaxed atmosphere makes it the perfect resting spot between sightseeing.
For lighter eaters, we also recommend the "Baby Shirokuma" and "Handy Shirokuma"!
