From the outside, it looks like just another temple, so you might want to pass it by, but the bamboo garden is actually located at the back of the temple, and tickets can be purchased at the shrine office. There are two options: bamboo garden only, or bamboo garden + matcha tea to enjoy in the bamboo garden. I chose without matcha, but it seems you can enjoy tea slowly while looking at the bamboo forest. The atmosphere was just like the bamboo forest in Arashiyama, Kyoto.
