Engakuji Temple - Ogane Bell

The Ogane Bell, a national treasure at Engakuji Temple.
At the top of the long staircase with nearly 140 steps, you will find the Ogane Bell, a designated national treasure, on the left.
It is 259.1 cm tall and 142.4 cm in diameter.

It was donated by Hojo Sadatoki and cast by the metalworker Mononobe Kunimitsu.
It is said to be one of the three famous bells in Kamakura, along with the bells of Kenchoji Temple and Jorakuji Temple in Ofuna.

Right next to it is the Bentendo Hall.
Further back is a teahouse.
The view from there is spectacular!
