ONE DAY TRIP KAMIKOCHI ✨️

Visiting Kamikochi is not possible all year round because there are opening and closing times. Before going, check if it is open or not.

Normally, Kamikochi opens on April 17 and closes on November 15 of each year. However, since it is a nature-based tourist attraction, there may be changes.

Here is an example of the trip I went to. Starting from Takayama city
1. Go to Nohi bus center and buy a round trip ticket from here to Kamikochi. Price 5,190 yen
2. The bus will not stop directly at Kamikochi, but will drop us off at Hirayu Onsen. We have to get off and transfer to this bus to Kamikochi.

3. We should not get off at Kamikochi stop, but should get off at Taisyoike stop to start walking from the beginning.
🚌 (HO37) Hirayu Onsen --> (K28) Taisyoike
4. When we get off at Taisyoike stop, we will start walking.
- Taisho Pond takes about an hour or 3.7 kilometers to Kappa Bridge.
- From Kappa Bridge, if anyone has little time, take a bus at the Bus terminal back to Hirayu Onsen. But if anyone wants to see more nature, walk to Myojin Pond, another 2.5 km.

Nature in Kamikochi It's very relaxing and makes you feel calm and spend time exploring. If you go to Takayama, don't forget to stop by Kamikochi. You can go on a one-day trip without staying there.

⚠️ Warning: If you go in April, you will find the snow melting. The path may be slippery. Be careful when walking.
