This historic shrine is known as Kanazawa's oldest. It's popular for its blessings of matchmaking, and its proximity to Kenrokuen Garden and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art makes it an easy stop-off spot during sightseeing. The colorful "flower water basin" and approximately 2,000 red "musubidama" amulets make for a photogenic sight, garnering attention as a "shining shrine."
