Get up early to visit Tagong Monastery and head to Ganzi via Daofu & Luhuo. Drop a visit to Huiyuan monastery en route. The 7th Dalai Lama moved from Ta'er monastery in Xining to this temple for a secure reason and the 11th Dalai Lama was born around here in 1838.
You can visit Luhuo Shouling monastery, where the 10th Panchan Lama and the 14th Dalai Lama once stayed overnight in it. Therefore, it enjoys a high reputation among monasteries in Kham area.

Drive to Manigangou to visit the stunning holy alpine lake Yilhun La-tso, bordered by chortens and dozens of rock carvings. If the weather is clear, you will have a chance to see the huge glaciers of Que’er Mountain (6018m). After arriving in Gerge in the afternoon, you can visit the Dege Sutra Printing House
