📸
Itinerary
Day 1: Xinduqiao → Litang → Cuopugou
- Depart from Xinduqiao in the morning, drive 4 hours to Litang, visit Letong Ancient Town and Changqing Chone Monastery, recommended to shoot panoramic views from the mountain behind the monastery
- In the afternoon, continue driving 2 hours to Cuopugou, check in at a hotel in the scenic area

Day 2: Cuopugou → Genie
- Self-drive into Cuopugou Scenic Area (ticket 129 RMB/person), follow the sightseeing route to photograph glass-colored lakes and snow mountain views
- In the afternoon, head to Zeba Village in Genie, stay at a scenic guesthouse

Day 3: Genie Day Tour → Xinduqiao
- Depart from Zeba Village, self-drive to visit Genie’s Eye, Zeba Secret Realm and other attractions, experience horseback riding through flower seas
- Return to Xinduqiao in the evening

Day 4: Xinduqiao → Jiagenba → Return
- In the morning, go to Rize Village in Jiagenba to photograph grassland scenery and interact with marmots
- Return to Chengdu in the afternoon, end of the trip

❗❗ Practical Tips:
1️⃣ Vehicle choice: Strongly recommend renting an SUV! The southern route of Genie and some sections of Jiagenba have gravel and potholes, sedans are prone to chassis scratches (we personally saw a sedan owner sighing by the roadside)
2️⃣ Food suggestions: There are many restaurants in villages and towns along Western Sichuan, Tibetan-style hot pot and yak jerky are worth trying! No need to bring too many snacks (we ended up giving away all the instant noodles we brought 😂)
3️⃣ Driving arrangement: We prefer to drive at night after afternoon sightseeing to save time, experienced drivers lead to higher efficiency. Don’t worry about no signal on some sections, offline maps plus following the main road work fine
4️⃣ Weather response: Plateau weather is changeable, even if rain is forecasted it may stop shortly. It’s recommended to bring a sun and rain umbrella, rainbows often appear in the afternoon after rain
5️⃣ Altitude sickness prevention: I had no altitude sickness throughout (probably due to no intense exercise), hotels along the way generally provide oxygen diffusion, no need to bring oxygen tanks

⭐⭐⭐ Lazy Traveler Friendly Secrets:
