For my third birthday meal I went to Cité Steakhouse and enjoyed the food with my friends. I ate a lot of delicious food on my birthday this year hahaha!
First, let me introduce this Xidi. It is located on Zhongshan 2nd Road, Kaohsiung. The sign is not very conspicuous and it is on the second floor! After entering, the interior of the restaurant is very grand, and the sofas in the waiting area alone are quite comfortable! After your number is called, a waiter will lead you to your seat. The tables are divided into sofas and general seats. Generally, you need more than four people to have the opportunity to sit in the sofa area. But everyone’s seat (even the chairs) has a basket for guests to put their bags, which is very thoughtful!
After sitting down, I started to order. My meals today were
1. Appetizer: Scallops and shrimp with curry yogurt (the sauce is very delicious and special)
2. Salad: Grilled squid and fresh vegetable salad (the grilled squid is salty and goes very well with the salad dressing. With the addition of fresh vegetables, it tastes very harmonious and not greasy)
3. Bread: Baked mushrooms + bread cubes (bread dipped in baked mushrooms is delicious, the bread part is refillable, it is recommended to refill one portion, otherwise you may not be able to eat it later)
4. Soup: Beef borscht (I personally think the French truffle mushroom soup is better. The borscht is half tendon and half meat beef, the meat is good, and the soup is above average, not amazing)
5. Main course: whole steak (I think the cooking and preparation are very good. You can taste that the meat has become soft and chewy after being patted. Unfortunately, the part is a bit dry, which is a pity)
6. Sourdough: Lemon Sourdough (good for relieving greasiness)
7: Dessert: Classic cheesecake (close to Starbucks’ cake level)
8. Drink: Brulee Fragrant Red (the base is black tea, and the top is milk brulee, it tastes very good together, it's amazing)
The fish fingers and chocolate cake shown in the picture were a treat. Because there were kiwi sticker residues in the salad today, the manager on duty apologized for this unexpected episode and had to entertain us personally. In addition, since it was my birthday today, he gave us a 15% discount. I also want to thank Citi Steakhouse for being so generous and providing such great service!
