The Kaohsiung City Government gradually restored the consulate complex in 1985. Since 2003, the official residence has become a popular tourist attraction. The office at the foot of the mountain and the ancient mountain trail were also designated as historical sites. They were subsequently restored and integrated with the official residence into a cultural park. It is the only important historical site complex in Taiwan that fully presents the consulate, ancient trails, and offices.

The attractions of the official residence on the mountain include: watching the sunset from the viewing platform, overlooking Qihou Mountain, exploring the sloped basement on the first floor, the Takao Port exhibition hall, the arch corridor, etc.

The attractions of the Consulate at the foot of the mountain include: the ancient mountain trail, the remains of the prison cell, Mayakov's medical consultation, the indoor exhibition area (negotiations between the consul and the Qing officials), the English garden, the street view of Shaochuantou, etc.
