Wandering through the basement of Kaohsiung's Zhan Er Ku, I was drawn to the aroma of a small shop. Their specialty is grilled squid, cooked to order. The chef expertly prepares it on the teppanyaki griddle, creating a springy and succulent texture with a savory and fragrant sauce. The takoyaki next door is also made to order, with a crispy exterior and tender interior, featuring large chunks of octopus legs.

Besides eating fresh, the shop also offers a variety of exquisite dried seafood and dim sum gift boxes, perfect as souvenirs, bringing home delicious memories of the port city!
