The mud volcano in Dushanzi, Xinjiang, is very distinctive. It overflows with gray-green viscous mud, and cold bubbles keep bubbling in the mud, emitting a smell of oil and gas. However, to see this landscape, you must first climb six or seven hundred steps, then walk 1 kilometer, and climb a big slope, which is a real test of your physical strength and endurance‼️
Mud volcano, also known as pseudo volcano, is mainly composed of Neogene strata (mudstone, siltstone, sandstone), and can spew a large amount of mineralized water and natural gas. These bubbles represent the breath of the earth, making you awe at the small mud pit. In a desolate and arid place, seeing such a scene can be considered a wonderful feeling.
🌈Highlights:
✅Because the mud contains natural gas, it can be ignited with fire, which is really amazing‼️
✅There are multiple vents on the top of the mud volcano, and the mud flow that gushes out forms a conical mound on the ground. The flowing mud has a unique beauty effect.
✅On the mud volcano, you can also enjoy the colorful slope, colorful bow-shaped large back slope and other unique geological and geomorphological landscapes, as well as the first oil well, the first set of distillation pots and other historical sites and tourist attractions.
