Reflections on Visiting Karuizawa Kogen Church: It was a tranquil and empowering experience. Unlike the bustling atmosphere of typical tourist destinations, the first impression here was one of comforting tranquility. The wooden building blends seamlessly into the forest, the air filled with the fragrance of trees, and even the sound of footsteps becomes soft.

Sitting on the wooden benches inside the church, watching the sunlight stream through the glass, my breathing slows unconsciously. My children also become quiet, curiously observing the architectural lines, the wood grain, and the play of light and shadow. In that moment, it's as if the world has paused, leaving only a dialogue between nature and the heart.

This place evokes a sense of "silent emotion," not due to its ornate design, but rather its pure beauty and tranquility. Even non-religious people can be moved by this tranquility. Watching children stroll through the trees, the breeze ruffling their hair, I felt the rhythm of life reset, and my heart felt a sense of tenderness and gratitude.

As I left, looking back at the church bathed in sunlight, I thought: This trip wasn't just about enjoying the scenery; it was more like a spiritual retreat. Karuizawa Plateau teaches people to calm down and cherish the present moment, while also allowing parents and children to connect more deeply with nature and connect more authentically.
