Kawagoe Pudding, near Tokyo

These days, I've been exploring more of the suburbs rather than staying in the city center of Japan.

I had this pudding in Kawagoe, a city with a strong Edo-period vibe, about an hour from Tokyo by subway!

It's not as chewy as some might like, but it's more of a custard-like texture, so it's definitely a hit, but it was incredibly sweet and delicious.

They sell a variety of puddings, and since sweet potatoes are a specialty of Kanghwago, you should definitely try their sweet potato pudding!

The name of the store is Kawagoe Pudding (kawagoe purin).
