"Kawazu Cherry Blossom Tree Line: A cherry blossom tunnel that colors early spring"

Located in Kawazu-cho, Kamo-gun, Shizuoka Prefecture, the Kawazu Sakura Namiki is a famous spot where more than 800 Kawazu cherry trees bloom for about 4 km.

Kawazu cherry blossoms bloom every year from early February to early March, and can be enjoyed for about a month.

This year, they will finally be in full bloom in March! It is expected that there will be more to come.

They are characterized by large, deep pink flowers, and bloom earlier than Somei-Yoshino cherry trees, so you can feel the spring a little earlier.

The Kawazu Sakura Festival is held every February, and attracts many tourists. During the festival, the area is lit up at night, allowing you to enjoy the fantastic night cherry blossoms. In addition, rape blossoms bloom in abundance at the foot of the cherry blossom trees, creating a beautiful landscape with a contrast of pink and yellow.

Location: Kawazu-cho, Kamo-gun, Shizuoka Prefecture

Access:
Train: Take the JR Express Odoriko from Tokyo Station for about 2 hours and 40 minutes and get off at Kawazu Station. The cherry blossom trees are a few minutes walk from the station.
Car: Approximately 70km from Numazu IC on the Tomei Expressway. During the festival, the surrounding roads will be congested, so it is recommended to use public transportation.
