The "Keelung Tide Art" is entering its tenth year and is very exciting!

"Keelung Tide Art," hosted by the Keelung City Culture and Tourism Bureau, has entered its tenth year.

Previously, "Keelung Tide Art" was primarily held at the Zhengbin Fishing Port and the ruins of the Agena Shipyard.
This year, it showcased 19 art installations spanning Keelung's mountain, sea, and city areas, offering a richer and more diverse offering.

This time, I primarily visited the #Fishermen'sAssociation'sZhengbin Building.
Reading the introduction inside, I learned that during the Japanese colonial era, Keelung and Busan served as twin gateways in the Japanese imperial network.
After the war, many Korean laborers were left behind in Keelung, unable to return home amidst the chaos.

The work "Sea Tide, Boat Tide Departure," displayed in the central open space of the Fishermen'sAssociation'sZhengbin Building, depicts the stories of Koreans who returned home after Japan's defeat in 1945, and those who remained behind to start new lives in their new homeland.

The exhibition runs until October 26th.
Those interested in visiting should seize the opportunity!
