Stepping Back in Time at Hever Castle

#holidayitinerary Exploring Hever Castle was like walking into a living storybook. The castle’s stone walls, surrounded by a picturesque moat, looked stunning from the moment I arrived. Inside, the rooms were filled with rich wooden paneling, tapestries, and historic portraits, each telling tales from the Tudor period. Learning about Anne Boleyn’s childhood here added a fascinating layer to the visit. Outside, the gardens were just as captivating, with perfectly manicured hedges, colourful flowerbeds, and peaceful water features.

I especially enjoyed strolling through the Italian Garden, where statues and fountains created a serene atmosphere. The lakeside walk offered beautiful views and a chance to just relax and take in the surroundings. Hever Castle felt both grand and intimate, with plenty of cosy corners to explore. It is the kind of place that blends history, romance, and natural beauty, making it a perfect escape for a day in the Kent countryside.
