Similan Must-Visit Checklist

Kuraburi|Comprehensive Travel Guide to the Similan Islands🌊

This is definitely one of the most beautiful islands I’ve ever seen! Crystal-clear waters, pristine white sandy beaches, and a rich underwater world—it's truly a paradise for travelers. Take advantage of the fact that it’s not crowded yet and save this guide!

🏝️ Attraction Guide
📍Similan Islands
One of Thailand’s most pristine islands, the entire archipelago consists of 9 small islands, each showcasing different marine ecosystems. I heard months in advance that the water visibility here is extremely high, and seeing it in person was truly breathtaking!

Must-do activities:
- Snorkeling to see tropical fish🐠 (recommended at Islands 4 and 7)
- Visiting the iconic Sail Rock
- Taking photos on the white beach of Island 8
- Watching turtle hatchlings (if you’re lucky)

⏰ Best time to visit:
November to April, open daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
(Remember to avoid the island closure period from May to October)

🏨 Accommodation Recommendations
It’s best to stay in the nearby Khao Lak area
- Nangthong Bay Resort (close to the pier)
- The Sarojin (luxury choice)
- Khaolak Laguna Resort (great value)

🍴 Food Recommendations
Must-try island-exclusive dishes:
- Thai seafood fried noodles
- Grilled squid (freshest from vendors near the pier)
- Coconut ice cream (perfect for cooling down)

📌 Practical Tips:
1. No shoes allowed on the island; prepare diving socks in advance
2. Apply plenty of sunscreen! The UV rays here are especially strong
3. It’s recommended to book a day tour that includes transfers and lunch
4. Don’t forget to bring a waterproof bag and GoPro to capture the underwater beauty
