Water Flow: Approximately 22 tons per minute, equivalent to the water capacity of about 11 household bathtubs—a truly abundant source.

Water Temperature: A consistent 14–15°C (57–59°F) year-round, offering refreshingly cool and crystal-clear water.

Transparency: A mystical cobalt blue hue with visibility reaching the bottom at a depth of about 2 meters (6.5 feet).

🚶♂️ Facilities & Exploration

Facilities: Renovations in 2016–2017 added a gazebo, hand pumps, stairs, and bridges leading to the spring, making it easier to collect water and enjoy the view.

Water Collection: Free of charge. Many visitors bring bottles or tanks to collect water, which is popular for making coffee, cooking rice, or diluting shochu.

Caution: During winter, the pumps may freeze or malfunction. In such cases, it’s safer to collect water directly from under the bridge rather than forcing the pump.

🚗 Access & Parking

By Car: About 20 minutes from the Kyushu Expressway "Yokogawa IC" or 12 minutes from Kirishima Onsen Station.

Road Conditions: The road from the entrance to the parking lot is narrow, with some challenging spots for passing other vehicles. Drive cautiously.

Parking: Free parking available for 10–11 standard-sized cars. During peak seasons like summer, the lot may become full.
