One-day tour to Fukuoka Mojiko Retro Town😎

Fukuoka-Monji Port
Mojiko is a small port city full of retro feel! 🚢

This time we will start from Fukuoka Tenjin, take the subway to Hakata Station, then take the Sanyo Shinkansen to Kokura Station, and finally change to the private train to Mojiko Station.

In fact, taking the Shinkansen from Tenjin to Kokura Station is incredibly fast, only about 15 minutes – if you don’t mind paying a little more, it’s definitely worth it!

Note that you have to get off at "Men Si Port" at the end. Don't get the "Men Si" station wrong, otherwise you will have to wait for the next bus for about 20 minutes 🤣!

First stop of the trip: Take a boat over to Todo Market (Todo Market, 5-50 Totocho, Shimokaku City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, business hours 7:00-15:00)

Stop 2: Blue Wing Bridge (ブルーウィングもじ, 1-12 Donggang-cho, Moji-ku, Kitakyushu), the largest jumping bridge in Japan, opening and closing 6 times a day, seeing the bridge slowly rise, many locals and travelers will stand under the bridge waiting to see, it is spectacular!

Stop 3: Take the Tidewind train (Tidewind, operates every Saturday, Sunday and public holidays) from Mojiko Station to the entrance of the Menmen Strait Pedestrian Tunnel to explore the undersea walking tunnel connecting Fukuoka Moji and Yamaguchi Shimonoseki. ✨

Finally I had the croissant ice cream at the Tidewind Terminal Container Bakery, which tasted good and was able to sit nearby and enjoy the sea breeze. Then you can take the bus back to Monji Harbor Station, then take the bus back to the city to end the day!

In fact, you don't have to go shopping in Fukuoka! If you like the nostalgic hipster feel, you can go to Mensi Harbor for a walk, take pictures, eat delicious food, watch the jumping bridge, guaranteed not to get bored😎✨
