[Kitakyushu Tourism] The Arita ware murals are a highlight ✨️ A national park overlooking the Kanmon Straits

"Setonaikai National Park, Mekari Park, Second Observation Deck"

Moji Ward, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture
At the top of the mountain, you can see a panoramic view of the Kanmon Strait.

The Second Observation Deck is part of Setonaikai National Park.
From the observation deck, you can see the Kanmon Bridge, the Suo-Nada Sea, Dannoura, Ganryujima, and on the opposite shore, Honshu and Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture.

Along the road is the "Genpei Dannoura Battle Picture Scroll," one of the largest murals in Japan.
It's quite large. It was so beautiful that I couldn't fit it all in one photo.
Apparently, it's made up of 1,400 Arita ware reliefs. ✨️
It's lit up at night.

I'm sure the night view from the observation deck is beautiful.
It's a place I'd like to visit again.

Apparently, it's also a popular date spot. ✨️

Parking is available.
