Maruyama Taketoritei (竹取亭円山), located in Kobe's Arima Onsen, was the epitome of a truly sensuous Japanese accommodation. The moment I opened the door and stepped inside, the traditional scent of tatami mats and warm lighting enveloped me in a relaxing atmosphere. 🌙

The room, with its fluffy blankets and wood-scented interior, felt like I'd stepped into a Japanese anime. The seasonal mountain scenery outside the window was a treat for the eyes. 🍂❄️🌸🌿

The most impressive part was the outdoor open-air bath! This private onsen, available by reservation, is perfect for couples or families to enjoy in a cozy setting. Soaking in the warm water melted away the day's fatigue. The sounds of water, the wind, and the tranquil Arima night… For that moment, it felt like time had stopped. ✨

The kaiseki dinner was also a work of art. The refined course meal, made with seasonal ingredients, and Kobe beef was a feast for the palate. 🍶🥢

The price is definitely on the high side, but considering the hospitality and the ambiance of the space throughout my stay, I felt it was well worth it. If you're wondering where to stay for a truly Japanese experience, I highly recommend Maruyama Taketoritei. 💕
