Krabi Trail, Khao Huai To, 35 km, Krabi Province

How do you review the Krabi Trail? 55
Two years ago, the Krabi Trail was my first trail run. This year, I ran a 35k race, and it was fun, typical southern forest, with a little rain.

I've been sitting here for days, so I can't quite type. Let's keep it short. The forest is known for its abundance. We saw very little sun along the route, mostly on steep and descents. Plus, it rained the night before, and on race day, it rained just enough to refresh the runners. But around 20km (I honestly don't remember exactly, it was tiring), the trail was muddy and slippery at any moment. Since I love mud, I slipped several times. The descents were so shallow I slid down. It was amazing! Just find a place to brake (don't rely on your friend in front to brake, 😂).

After about 35km, we had to tackle a steep hill, the highlight of the race. (Tourists can usually climb up to the top for a viewpoint, but the route doesn't pass through a viewpoint.) We were able to manage the climb. We remembered what Bank, the gang leader, said, "No matter how you walk, don't stop. 60 pace is better than zero pace." How cool, my friends! We just kept walking, flirting.

With 1 km left, we saw the exit sign, but it was slippery and tiring. My legs were sore and my toenails were sore, especially my big toe. My socks were torn and holding them up. Luckily, they didn't cut my toe, causing further pain. After we passed the stream, we had to run to the final stop, the Huai To Waterfall viewpoint, receive a wristband that looked like a hair tie, and then run back to the starting point.
We crossed the finish line like a prime minister campaigning, lol. Here are some photos!

Besides the impressive things I enjoyed about the race, I have a few words to say to the organizers:
- The ribbons were too small, didn't reflect much light, and were hidden in corners, causing runners to get lost. The 35 and 50 runners ran the same route, and we chatted. Some of the 50 runners got lost for five kilometers. It was so tiring.

- To the young people who helped maintain the route and were responsible for each stop. I'd like the supervisor to brief us thoroughly. From what I've heard, they gave the runners the wrong route a couple of times, which can be quite frustrating. (From what I've seen at the bottom of the event, there were a lot of young people. I'd like to see them disperse to the spots where they might get lost. That would be great. Thank you.

I made a lot of new friends running this race.
P'Pol, I ran in Samui last week and then in Krabi. I'm already too fit.

P'Nat, from Surat Thani, also ran in Samui last week. We ran together from km 10, maybe even from the 10th. We dragged each other along until the finish line. Thank you.
P'Ting from Krabi, I'm so happy we'll have a friend to practice with at Khao Hong Nak. But after the event, P'Ting said, "I'll take a month off and then we'll talk about it later 😅." I missed our photo together. P'Ting is a good runner. I stopped by CP for a quick stop and then disappeared. I couldn't catch up with him. I saw him again on Khuan Ma Thot. I was so tired.
