One of my absolute favourites at the KL Park Festival 2025 was the KL Balcony Showdown (Pertandingan Balkoni KL) — a design competition that transformed the lakeside of Taman Tasik Titiwangsa into a gallery of urban imagination. Each balcony faced the glittering water, offering not only breathtaking views but a reflection of Kuala Lumpur’s creative spirit.

From minimalist modern decks draped in ferns to rustic wooden terraces adorned with bamboo lamps and trailing orchids, every design told a story of lifestyle, culture, and individuality. Some framed the skyline like a painting; others became cozy sanctuaries filled with rattan chairs, tropical vines, and splashes of colour.

The KL Balcony Showdown wasn’t just about design; it was about vision — how urban life can stay connected to the calm of nature. Facing Tasik Titiwangsa, it captured the heart of the city: vibrant, elegant, and endlessly inspiring.
