the one & only royal mosque in kuala selangor

📍Address: Masjid Raja Lumu, Kuala Selangor (located at the foothill of Bukit Melawati)

Before this, it’s known as Masjid Pekan Lama Kuala Selangor, then it’s rebuilt and renamed after the first Sultan of Selangor, who reign between 1766 until 1782.

The tomb of Raja Lumu can be visited, it’s just a few steps uphill of the mosque.

The mosque dome is made of copper imported from Germany, which has a very good quality so it bears low maintenance cost as it doesn’t have to be repainted.

🏖️Ambiance/Facilities: it combines indoor outdoor feature. the wudhu area for female is great! it’s directly connected to the prayer room and it has a enormous wall mirror!

💞Reasons to Recommend: it is near to the main road so it’s easy to stop by and do a prayer on your way. there’re beautiful mural arts along the street, so you can take photos while strolling there.
