🧃As a transit hub for Yunnan trips, 1-2 days are enough to explore. Compiled after 20,000 daily steps—full guide to eating & strolling.

**Transportation**
- **Kunming Changshui Airport**: The airport is huge—arrive 1.5 hours early. Airport bus (25 RMB) to Kunming Station takes 40min.
- **Train**: 👻 Kunming Station is downtown with north/south entrances. Metro is at the south entrance—check your ticket. South Station is farther but has metro access.
- **Metro**: Buy a day pass on the blue XX Pay app—2 rides make it worth it.
- **Bike-sharing**: 🚠 Convenient for short distances.
- **Bus**: 2 RMB/ride (10% off via blue app), no AC.

**Accommodation**
Stayed at **Yunhe Weixia Hotel (Dianchi Branch)**. Downtown locations work too, but Kunming is large—pick lodging near your itinerary. We chose this hotel for its proximity to Dianchi Lake. The design is stylish, amenities are complete (even private hot springs!), and our stay was great overall.

**Day 1**: Yunnan Provincial Museum → Guandu Ancient Town → Dounan Flower Market
**Day 2**: Daguan Zhuanxin Market → Yunnan Ethnic Village → Dianchi Haigeng Park → Kunming Old Street

**Attractions**
① **Yunnan Provincial Museum** (Free)
- Book 3 days ahead or scan on-site. 3 floors: special exhibits on 3F, fossils/Bronze Age on 2F, Yunnan history (Eastern Han to early Tang) on 1F.

② **Daguan Zhuanxin Market**
A vibrant local market—no need to rush. Open 7:30 AM–6:30 PM; arrive after 9 AM for full food stalls. Tried-and-true snacks:
🥣: Chen Shaosong’s sweet rice wine / Spicy Bean Curd Noodles / Mangshi rolled rice noodles / Lemon hand-shredded chicken / Xu’s rice cakes / Crispy rice cakes / Grilled eggplant / Golden lotus root balls / A’s grilled milk fan

③ **Yunnan Ethnic Village** (80 RMB)
- Electric cart: 30 RMB. Massive park with 26 minority tribes, timed song/dance performances (ends with audience interaction). Exit south to Dianchi Lake.
