Kusatsu Onsen Yubatake

I went to Kusatsu Onsen, a famous hot spring that often ranks No. 1 in Japan in hot spring rankings.

As a resident of Oita Prefecture, I think Beppu Onsen is No. 1 in Japan! But Kusatsu was also amazing!!

Kusatsu Onsen boasts the highest natural spring water output in Japan, and is highly acidic and has a strong bactericidal power. It is said to cure all diseases except lovesickness.

It can be visited from Tokyo in 3.5 to 4 hours.

The source of the "Yubata" in the center of the hot spring town is around 50 degrees, and in some places it can reach over 90 degrees.

There is a system that allows the water to cool naturally through seven wooden troughs, which are used to collect "Yunohana", the source of hot springs.

From there, the hot spring water is sent to each inn. The water is hot and highly acidic, so most bacteria and germs cannot grow in the water, making it highly effective as a hot spring therapy.
