one of the top things on places to go for our first time visiting kyoto and kinkaku-ji certainly did not disappoint. if i recall correctly, we took about 10-15 minutes to arrive at the golden pavillion from the entrance itself and it was extremely packed! there is a crowd located where i took the 2nd picture and i believe that is one of the best spots although you got to be patient as you might have to wait for someone to leave before you can stand at the front for the perfect picture. 📷

bonus information - we had one of the best matcha ice cream while exiting kinkaku-ji, it is so good that i believe it holds the top spot in my heart! 🩷
