Experience the world's best cherry blossom viewing in Kyoto.

[10:00 AM] Yasaka Shrine Visit & Cherry Blossom Viewing
Start your day at Yasaka Shrine, the gateway to Gion. The cherry blossoms bloom beautifully from the entrance to the back of the shrine, making it a perfect spot to enjoy the scenery combined with traditional architecture.

[11:00 AM] Stroll in Maruyama Park
Maruyama Park, which continues from Yasaka Shrine, is one of the most popular cherry blossom spots in Kyoto. The 'Shidarezakura (Weeping Cherry Tree)' in the center of the park is especially famous for photos. Enjoy a picnic on the benches.

[12:30 PM] Lunch in Gion District
Around Hanamikoji Street, there are many Kyoto-style restaurants offering traditional kaiseki cuisine, yuba (tofu skin), soba, etc. Cafes or ryotei (traditional Japanese restaurants) with views of Japanese gardens are also recommended.

[2:00 PM] Stroll Hanamikoji & See Maiko
Take a walk along Hanamikoji, lined with traditional machiya buildings. The scenery of cherry blossoms combined with traditional architecture is very impressive, and in the afternoon, you can often see maiko (apprentice geisha) experiencing tourism.

[4:00 PM] Cherry Blossom Viewing by Shirakawa River
Move east of Gion to Shirakawa Minami-dori, where a cherry blossom path follows the river. It's a quiet and atmospheric cherry blossom walk, perfect for taking memorable photos.

[5:30 PM] Cherry Blossom Night View & Dinner
At dusk, return to Maruyama Park for the cherry blossom light-up (operational from late March to early April). End your day with a Japanese-style dinner near Gion Street, enjoying the night cherry blossoms.
