Adventures in Arashiyama

If you want a brilliant, tranquil and diverse adventure in Arashiyama, begin by taking a stroll through the bamboo forest before heading down the quiet roads of the greater Arashiyama area. This place is absolutely covered with amazing little temples set among the beautiful mountain scape. Once you reach the end of one of these trails, you will find Otagi Nenbutsu-ji temple, a beautiful small temple, set up the side of one of the mountains, covered with little stones shaped into the traditional doll sculptures of Shinto religion.
