Daikoku-san Kongo-ji Koshin-do Temple, or Yasaka Koshin-do as it's commonly known, is a lovely and colorful temple in Kyoto! 🥰
Located in the Higashiyama district, close to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, it's a convenient place to stroll around. The temple's world-famous highlight is the "Kukuri-zaru" (monkey balls) 🐒, colorful cloth balls hung everywhere. Each ball represents a monkey with its hands and feet bound. This symbol teaches us to control our desires and unnecessary desires. 💖 If we give up one unwholesome desire, our wish will be granted.
There's also the adorable Three Wise Monkeys statue. This small temple is filled with bright, lively atmosphere, and every angle is adorable! If you're in Kyoto, you must stop by and make a wish while hanging these colorful monkeys! 🌟
