🗺My perfect 2-day itinerary in La Paz, Mexico 🇲🇽

If you are travelling to Cabo San Lucas or Los Cabos, please, spend couple days in La Paz. Promise, you won't regret it! It's a nice authentic Mexican town, calm and beautiful.
Here's what we did in 2 days.
🐚 Day 1 – Ocean Adventure & Sunset Stroll

8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
🚤 Full-day boat excursion
Let’s be honest — Isla Espíritu Santo is the reason most people come to La Paz. And once you see it, you’ll get it.
✔ Isla Espíritu Santo – remote, pristine, and ridiculously beautiful
✔ Snorkeling with wild sea lions – playful, fast, and surprisingly friendly 🦭
✔ Balandra Beach – famous for its shallow turquoise waters and 🍄 Mushroom Rock

💡 Pro tip: Bring reef-safe sunscreen, a dry bag, and water shoes if you plan to climb closer to the rock.

5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
🌅 Evening on the Malecón
Back on land, slow the pace with a walk along La Paz’s peaceful Malecón.
✔ Endless sea views
✔ Sunset vibes in every direction
✔ Grab tacos, fresh juice, or a cold cerveza along the way 🌮🍻

🌵 Day 2 – Views, Culture & Beach Bliss

8:00 AM – 9:30 AM
⛰️ Hike to Mirador Balandra
This short hike offers next-level views of the coastline — the kind that make you stop and just breathe.
✔ Trail lined with giant cacti 🌵
✔ Red cliffs + white beaches + blue sea = unreal combo
✔ Windy at the top, but 100% worth it

10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
🏛️ Explore the city center
A quick culture fix before hitting the beach.
✔ Stroll La Paz’s historic core
✔ Visit Nuestra Señora de La Paz Cathedral ⛪ – peaceful & photogenic
✔ Grab coffee or pastries at a local café ☕

12:30 PM – 3:30 PM
🏖️ Chill at Playa El Tesoro
Its name means “the treasure” — and yes, it lives up to it.
✔ Calm, clear, shallow water
✔ Perfect for floating & relaxing
✔ Nearby seafood restaurants for a casual lunch

5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
🌄 Sunset at Cerro de la Calavera
End your La Paz adventure on a high note — literally.
✔ Easy hike to a wide-open viewpoint
✔ 360° views over the desert and sea
✔ Peaceful, golden, and crowd-free
