Langkawi Sunset Cruise: EM or OM? 🚢🌅

When planning for the Langkawi sunset cruise, it can get a bit confusing with all the codes and options. So, I’ve done the homework for you to make it easier! There are two popular boats for the sunset cruise:

Premium (EM - Eagle Magic)
Cost: RM250
Features: Air-conditioned cabin, towels provided
Free water activities: Stand-up paddleboarding, Net Jacuzzi, swimming/diving
If your budget allows, EM is the best choice. It has better facilities and better spots for photos. The downside is it’s a bit more popular, so it can be crowded.
Standard (OM - Ocean Magic)
Cost: RM210 (around RM250 with discounts)
Features: No air-conditioning, no towels
Free water activities: Same as EM
I opted for OM, because of the discount. While it’s not as fancy as EM, the advantage is fewer people on board, so there’s no scramble for photo spots!
What to Expect:

The cruise departs at 3:30 PM and runs until 8:00 PM (4 hours).
In the afternoon, the boat stops in a specific area for water activities (stand-up paddleboarding, net jacuzzi, diving).
At sunset, the boat heads to a fixed spot for an amazing sunset view. Multiple boats gather there, and it turns into a lively, fun party on the water — with music! (It seems to be based on the nationality of the passengers. Our boat had a lot of Malaysians, and the music was totally different, but high-energy!)
What I Loved Most:

The free time for water activities was amazing. I spent hours lounging on the boat’s front sofa, sunbathing, reading, and just relaxing — the clouds were so beautiful, like scenes from an animated movie. 🌥️
The sunset photos were stunning! The golden sunlight shining on your face, and with Titanic BGM playing on the boat, it really felt like a scene from a movie. The aunties on the other boat were even spreading their arms, fully immersed in the moment! 😆
Booking Tips:

Popular boats like EM and OM need to be booked in advance (I booked 2 days ahead). Some boats may have extra charges for same-day bookings.
Don’t expect too much from the boat's music; it’s more about the vibe than the tunes. 🎶
