Langkawi | Rice Museum Muzium Laman Padi

Experience the Joy of Rice Planting

Located at the northernmost end of Langkawi's Cenang Beach, the Rice Museum Muzium Laman Padi is a unique ecological exhibition center.

The museum provides a comprehensive introduction to rice cultivation methods, showcasing charts, photos, and tools related to the rice industry in an easy-to-understand manner. Additionally, there are various straw creations, including scarecrows and small animals, which are quite fascinating.

On the top floor of the building, there is a rooftop garden divided into several plots for rice planting. When the rice sprouts and grows, the lush green fields are a sight to behold. During the harvest season, the golden fields of ripe rice are truly stunning.

Admission to the museum is free, and visitors can also participate in activities for a fee of 20 MYR (approximately 1.5 hours). These activities allow you to experience every step of rice planting, growth, and harvesting, including hands-on processing sessions and a rice art gallery, making it both educational and entertaining.
