🌿 “Escape the heat and embrace the snow…in the middle of summer at Bipenggou” ❄️

Who says summer is all about the beach?
We chose to head up the mountain and immerse ourselves in nature at Bipenggou in Lixian, Sichuan Province. ⛰️
Just a short four-hour drive from Chengdu, we were transported to another world, filled with towering pine trees, crystal-clear icy streams, and pristine snow on the mountaintops in June!

The weather was pleasantly cool at ~16°C, but a little chilly in the mornings. The surrounding scenery was like something out of a postcard. 📸
Stroll along Shanghaizi Lake, where the reflection of the snowy mountains is crystal clear like a mirror.

Upon reaching the summit, Swallow Rock Nest, at nearly 4,000 meters, the view was breathtaking.

Recommended Highlights:
1. Longwang Lake and Shanghaizi Lake – The snowy mountains reflect beautifully, making for stunning photo opportunities.
2. Panyang Lake – The main scenic spot, offering stunning views. Before taking the electric bus to the summit:
3. Swallow Rock Nest (燕子岩) – The highest point is around 3,900 meters. It's best to go early in the morning for a full view.
4. Hongshi Beach (Red Rock) – The rocky ground is covered with red algae at high altitudes. It's especially beautiful at this time of year.

Getting around the park:
• Purchase a combined sightseeing bus ticket (around CNY 60–70) to Longwang → Shanghaizi.
• You can also take the electric bus/golf cart (CNY 20–30 per trip) from Panyang → Swallow Rock Nest.
• We recommend arriving early (opens at 7–8 AM, so catch the bus before it gets crowded) and spending a full day there, as you'll spend the entire day taking the bus and walking around to see various attractions.
