Chengdu-Bipenggou 2 days 1 Night

Today, I'll be reviewing a 2-day, 1-night trip from Chengdu to Bi Penggou, a relaxing and comprehensive itinerary. If you're visiting Chengdu but don't have enough time to visit the Four Sisters, but still want to experience the beautiful nature, you can follow this route. The beauty is unmatched anywhere else. Importantly, Bi Penggou National Park is relatively easy to access and requires less walking than the Four Sisters Mountains. The photos show us traveling in December 2014, when there was some snow already, but the weather was still so cold that my hands were numb.

We left Chengdu around 10:30 AM (I didn't want to wake up too early, as I was arriving on a late flight). We boarded the bus at Chadianzi Bus Station. I recommend booking your ticket in advance (when we bought the ticket, it was sold out, so we were able to book a new one at 1:00 PM).

💰Bus fare: 65-70 yuan per trip

🚐 The bus ride took about 3 hours. We arrived at the bus stop in Li. Once in Li, we hired a taxi to our accommodation. We stayed near the entrance to the park. The advantage is that it's not as crowded as many other places, making it ideal for seniors or those prone to motion sickness. Furthermore, it's not very high, so altitude sickness isn't common in many places (but the beauty is just as impressive).

🏨Accommodation: Fengding Yuexia Hotel (毕棚沟景区店) - 900-1,000 baht per night. Large room with two beds and a comfortable, warm floor. The downside is that there aren't many restaurants in the area. Advantages: ✅ It's within walking distance of the park entrance.

Since we arrived late in the evening, it was already getting dark, so we could only explore the hotel and go to bed early.

The next morning, we left the hotel at 8:00 AM. We checked out and left our luggage before eating breakfast and then got ready to explore Bipenggou National Park. After purchasing our tickets at the entrance, the total cost, including the park bus, was approximately 180 yuan. The bus dropped us off at various points, allowing us to stroll around and take photos. We then proceeded to the bus stop to catch the next bus. We spent time here until around noon, just in time to return to the hotel to pick up our luggage. We chartered a car from the hotel to the bus station and bought a bus ticket back to Chengdu, arriving in Chengdu just in the early evening. There was still time to pack up at the hotel and then go out for a walk to find dinner. It was a worthwhile two days and one night, taking in the beautiful scenery and seeing the snow at Bipenggou Park. ❄️
