The Libo Small Seven Holes Scenic Area is an important part of the South China Karst, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is known as the "Little Jiuzhaigou." Here's a travel guide:
• Ticket Information: The ticket price is 170 yuan, which includes access to the Small Seven Holes, Big Seven Holes, and sightseeing bus. Free luggage storage is available, or you can opt for paid storage at about 5 yuan per item.
• Transportation Guide: Take a high-speed train from Guiyang North Station to Libo Station for about 100 yuan per person, taking approximately 1 hour. From there, take a scenic area bus or public bus directly to Small Seven Holes for about 25 yuan or 5 yuan, with a travel time of around 25 minutes.
• Recommended Route: It's suggested to enter from the West Gate for an easier experience. First, take the sightseeing bus to Wolong Pond, then proceed to Mandarin Duck Lake (where you can go boating), Tianzhong Cave, Cuigu Waterfall, Water Forest and Stone Forest (recommended to walk through Stone Forest), and finally arrive at the Small Seven Holes Ancient Bridge. Depending on your energy, you can decide whether to visit the Big Seven Holes Scenic Area.
• Must-See Attractions: The Small Seven Holes Ancient Bridge is the iconic landmark of the area, built in the 15th year of the Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty, spanning the Xiangshui River with its delicate structure; the Laya Waterfall, with a drop of 30 meters and a width of over 20 meters, means "Beautiful Goddess" in the Buyi language; the 68-Level Waterfall features 68 different cascades along a 1.6-kilometer river channel, creating a spectacular sight; Mandarin Duck Lake is a karst blind valley lake where you can take a boat ride; the Natural Bridge is the highlight of the Big Seven Holes Scenic Area, known as the "Eastern Triumphal Arch."
• Food Recommendations: Nearby, you can try local delicacies such as Libo beef hotpot, grilled fish with tofu pudding, and red bayberry soup.
• Accommodation Suggestions: You can stay in Libo County, where there are many options and convenient dining, such as the Guizhou Small Seven Holes Steigenberger Grand Hotel or the Libo Small Seven Holes Ruijing Hotel. Alternatively, choose unique homestays around the scenic area, like the Luanxi Yunshe Humanistic Yao Bath Hot Spring Hotel or the Libo Qisu Lajia Yao Theme Homestay, to experience a different charm.
• Important Notes: The scenic area opens at 7:30 AM and closes for entry after 4:30 PM. The entire visit takes about 5 hours, so plan your time wisely. There is a lot of walking, so wear comfortable shoes, and be cautious as some paths can be slippery.
