Amazing Lijiang - Laojun Mountain

Getting There - From Lijiang it’s easy to catch one of those local buses running to Liming village. Upon entering the village, driver will pull over at the ticket office and you will be kindly asked to pay a ticket to get inside the scenic park.

Highlight - Laojun Mountain belongs to Danxia landform, which is formed from red-coloured sandstones and conglomerates of largely Cretaceous age. Compared to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, this is a lesser-known mountain to tourists including the Chinese. So be ready to have all the amazing views all to yourself!

I camped out at a campsite inside the park with adequate facilities nearby for three days and absolutely loved the experience. There is a luxurious hotel just right next to the campsite and the staff there are kind enough to allow me to use their bathrooms and even shared meals with me!
