Linfen | Tiefo Temple: In addition to the giant Buddha head, this pagoda is also stunning

Tiefo Temple (also known as Dayun Temple) in Linfen is famous for its massive 6.8-meter-high iron Buddha head, but the golden glazed pagoda is even more impressive🤩.

The pagoda is about 39.5 meters high and is a six-story square pavilion-style building. The first to fifth floors are square, the sixth floor is octagonal, and the top of the pagoda is adorned with a gilded orb⛩️.

Above the second floor, the pagoda is inlaid with 58 Buddhist relief glazed tiles, depicting Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Arhats, disciples, and stories from Buddhist scriptures. The figures are diverse and varied in posture🎨.

The wind chimes on the eaves are unique, adding a touch of vibrancy and melody to the pagoda🔔. The exquisite glazed reliefs, unique architectural style, and ingenious structural design demonstrate the superb artistic level and creativity of ancient craftsmen, giving the pagoda high artistic and aesthetic value🎯.
