The Wang Family Courtyard is divided into five sections, one of which, Chongningbao, has been converted into a hot spring hotel 🏨♨️❗
✨The hotel is quite large and doesn't have elevators 🤭. It was renovated from the original Wang Family Courtyard, so you'll need to navigate stone paths and stairs. If you have large luggage 🧳, be aware that it can be difficult to maneuver 😅.
✨The hotel has hot springs ♨️, so remember to bring your swimsuit 🩱️. There are many large hot spring pools, including some outdoors. Soaking in the hot springs is incredibly relaxing, especially in cold weather! The bathing facilities and service at the hot spring center are excellent!
✨There's a Chinese restaurant in the hotel. If you don't want to go into town for a meal, you can eat at the hotel. They serve typical Shanxi cuisine, and the food is quite good 😋.
✨You can choose from regular hotel rooms or traditional heated-brick beds (kang). If you've never slept on a kang, you might want to give it a try 🧐. However, these kangs aren't actually heated by fire; they're just for show, but it's still a fun experience.
✨Climb the city wall to watch the sunset 🌅 and enjoy the courtyard views. The main part of the Wang Family Courtyard is right next door. It's less crowded here, so you can explore at your leisure. How enjoyable! 😎
