Had an amazing New Year's getaway in Hainan
Friends and I road-tripped to so many places 😎
Documenting this travel guide while already itching for another trip during Spring Festival

🏨 Hotels
Spent first two days at Lingshui Marriott - uncrowded and utterly relaxing
The sand at Perfume Bay is powdery fine and exceptionally white 🏖️
Also stayed at Sheraton Shimei Bay - felt like Southeast Asia
The Westin's beach connects to it but has a more modern vibe

🍲 Food
My absolute favorite is Zuobo Cu (fermented sour soup) - nothing compares
Coconuts here truly can't match Hema's - not sweet and kinda sour 🥥
Xinglong coffee is delicious too - mildly addictive

🏄🏻‍♂️ Activities
Sunny Wanning is pure chill - worth visiting even without surfing
The chapel at Riyue Bay is stunning, especially at sunset 🎆
Got even wilder - spontaneously decided to celebrate New Year in Sanya
Partied all night at Backstreet - instantly reignited my youthful energy

🚗 Transport
Flying directly to Sanya was too pricey, so we landed in Bo'ao instead
Rented a car right at the airport and hit the road

Now I'm back at my desk
Battling wits with programmers 🙇🏻‍♂️
But one thing's crystal clear -
The world's too vast not to explore firsthand
